2. Approach

1.2 BCA Commitment #2 is Approach. BCA members always ask, “How can I help you”. Pushing a sale, leading with a transaction is against culture. Approach everyone with warmth and the basic humanity behaviors you would expect.

1.2.1 Should a member be found to be acting in a pushy and/or salesy way at an event, the issue will be directly addressed by our Member Relations department.

1.2.2 During a one-on-one (1:1) meeting between two members, overt and unsolicited “selling” is not permitted.

1.2.1 Should a need be uncovered over time, as the relationship is being built, and a member asks for more specific information about a fellow members product,  it is perfectly fine for the member to indulge the request.

1.2.2 Should a member be found to be acting in a pushy or salesy way during a 1:1 meeting,  the issue will be directly addressed by our Member Relations department.
